That is until he got to Rome. Hector was better man than Achilles. Achilles was better warrior than Hector.

Ridley Scott shapes the decade with this is very rare to find a movie, which is this complete like Gladiator. Russell Crowe is embodying the Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius like he was born for this role. While watching the movie, you can feel the striking and courageous personality of the Spaniard, like they call him in the movie. Joaquin Phoenix was the most perfect antagonist they could"ve taken for. His underhand and egoistic character made the spectator hating him as the role of Commodus - thats why he was nominated as best actor in a supporting role at 2001 Oscars. When a Roman general is betrayed and his family murdered by an emperor"s corrupt son, he comes to Rome as a gladiator to seek revenge. This sentence was written by IMDb and in my opinion I can approve this! If you want to watch a complete movie, where music, scene play, script and pretty everything is important - then watch Gladiator that has been distinguished with 5 Oscars.

WTF - why not add more pics of Joaquin. 1:34 The bird flies from left to the right, which was a sign of good luck for the Romans. What a genius Ridley. Joaquim before this is Emperor wait now this is Joker ??. In ac odyssey his sword reminds me of the sword of Damokles. This movie is just great filled with a powerful storyline and great action scenes. The cast does a very good job everyone except russel crowe I don"t really care for him much but everyone else did a fantastic job. The action scenes were very intense and had your heart racing.
This movie is about a general (Crowe) who is loved by everyone including the emporer. The emporer does not love his own son however and asks maximus(Crowe) to take over as emporer once he dies. The emporers son finds out though and frames him for his death. They send the general for exectution where he escapes and is rounded up by slave drivers who turn him into a gladiator.
This movie is very good. Its a must see for everyone. A lot of people think it is too slow and too long but that is nonsense it is just perfect go watch it.
“Is there no one else?” *Everyone jumps on him. Two peoples told me I look like Joaqin Phoenix. I like how people were always talking about Russel Crowes performance then Joker came out and now everyone is talking about Joaquin Phoenix.
